Makita XFD10Z Brushless 1/2" Driver-Drill

The Makita 18V Compact Lithium-Ion Cordless 1/2″ Driver-Drill (model XFD10Z, tool only) delivers power, performance and superior ergonomics in a compact size. It weighs only 3.8 pounds (with battery) and offers a superior power-to-weight ratio for a full range of drilling and driving applications.

It is powered by an efficient 4-pole motor and a all-metal 2-speed transmission to deliver rotational speeds of 0-600/0-1,900 RPM.

Torque

A cordless drill’s torque is measured in terms of “In-lbs” and also by using the unit known as Nm (Newton Meter) or UWO (Unit Watts Out) Quick start guide. Often these numbers are displayed on a tool’s body along with symbols that will allow you to select the torque you want for your task.

The XFD10Z offers 480 in-lbs of torque across 21 power settings, making it ideal for working with various materials. A 2-speed transmission delivers rotational speeds of 0-600 or 0-1900 RPM.

A slimline and snub build allows the tool to access confined spaces, while dual LED lamps improve user visibility and accuracy in dark areas. With just 3.3 pounds in weight and superior balance, the tool is easy to handle for extended periods of time while a soft rubberized grip helps reduce fatigue and increases comfort.

Powered by an 18V lithium-ion battery, it’s also highly portable and can be used in tighter spaces without requiring mains lead restrictions.

Speed

XFD10Z is powered by a brushless motor that generates 25% more speed than the previous model. The new Makita-built 4-pole motor delivers 480 in. lbs of MAX torque, and it is backed up by an all-metal 2-speed transmission for a wide range of drilling and driving applications.

The XFD10Z is a compact, ergonomic machine with less weight and superior balance to reduce operator fatigue, and a rubberized soft grip increases user comfort while working.

The tool’s slimline and snub design also allows the driver to be used in confined spaces, such as between ceiling slats or beneath floor joists. At just 3.3 pounds (with battery, sold separately) this drill driver is light enough to work for long periods of time without getting tired or exhausted.

Weight

Makita’s XFD10Z weighs only 3.8 pounds (with battery, sold separately) and features a high-output 4-pole motor that delivers 480 in. lbs of MAX torque, 25% more than its predecessor. It also features a 2-speed transmission that delivers rotational speeds of 0-600 and 0-1,900 RPM to handle various applications.

It has a compact size and ergonomic design to help reduce operator fatigue and a soft rubberized grip to improve comfort. The chuck’s LED light illuminates the work area, helping improve visibility and accuracy.

The tool is powered by an 18V LXT Lithium-Ion slide-style battery with Star Protection computer controls that deliver faster charge times and longer battery life than standard batteries.
